  • PIO - exceeded 180 limit in India

    Hi,
I tried looking into forum for similar post but couldn't find. I am Indian citizen with US born kid. My kid is entered India and it's more than 180 days now, in fact going to be an year. Unfortunately, I got to know late that, I missed the deadline for reporting that kid is going to stay in India for longer duration. Did someone came across similar situation? what if I approach Foreigners Regional Registration Officer / Foreigners Registration Officer now?
Any information around this would be helpful.
    Thanks.

Would be wise to visit the Police as soon as possible.
If Kid is under 18 would be a minor error I would presume,
but this would be the decision of the Police.

Thank you for inputs. I have also observed that it's exception for minors.
        Thanks again!
