Hi,
I'm a Canadian citizen, resident (living and working) in the UK for the past 3 years - have no ties or residential address in Canada anymore.
I gave up my Indian citizenship to acquire Canadian citizenship over 12 years ago.
I believe I have all the documents (passport surrender certificate, etc) in order to process my OCI, but a few questions that concern me on the application requirements...
1. I shall be applying with HCI here in London, since I live here and they have no trouble accepting non-UK citizen applications, but they require a residential address in Canada? I have no residential address in Canada anymore, I live in the UK and can provide proof of the same perhaps (resident card, utility bills)?...
2. I have no Indian birth certificate available (lost, never really needed it so far)... I don't think it's an issue in my case since I have my old passports/surrender certificates, etc - but just thought I'd check if so...
Thank You!
