Urgent help requested: OCI transfer to new passports

No such issues for me. Are you trying to notarize self-attested copies? That's not necessary. All I got notarized was the original application form. All copies were just self-attested.

No I just told her that we need the first page notarized. But I had the whole bundle together and she just flipped through. I went with the preparation that I will mail it after the notary is done.

We are thinking of taking the documents to the bank and might just take the four documents with us instead of the whole bundle and get it notarized.

Did you sign they declaration too along with the parents signature in front of the notary. ?

permanent green card marries visitor

After applying I 10th she will be able to stay legal and get work permit until her visa is current.

Yeah this was so confusing , we thought they were talking about the signature box below the picture. Let's see what happens. It reaches today , if that is not accepted will be sending another form next week.

No change in the online status since last week. It still says that the applications were processed and ready to be sent to Consulate.

FYI, there will not be a change in that status. Once you see that on the BLS website, the next step would be to track on the GOI website.

Thank you very much for the tip! I just checked the GOI web site and was very pleasantly surprised at the status! BLS said the application was processed and ready to be sent to Consulate on 1/30. GOI web site says the date of acknowledgement was 2/1, OCI documents printed on 2/3 and dispatched from MOIA Delhi on 2/4!

That is some incredibly quick processing! It's good news for all of us. The next status will be when the documents are received at SFO.

That's great news. It has been processed to fast. Please keep updating on your status.

I checked my status and they have started updating their website as they just received my packet on Friday, so they have said that it will take 48 hours to check the documents and all the information. So it is just waiting time for me.

My OCI application packet was delivered to Chicago BLS facility on Feb 6th as per UPS. I haven't heard from BLS yet. Should I have to worry?
