  • PIO Card for Minor Clarifications

    Hi,
We are planing to visit India for this summer. Since our daughter was born in US ,we always get her VISA whenever we visit India. My husband and I have a valid Indian passports and few months back we got our Green card.
I would like to get some suggestions before apply PIO card as a minor for my daughter. While I'm looking at the document requirements at the BLS website I have come across the following statement and I have no idea what that means.

(4.3) For people of Indian origin applying for a Visa (any category) OCI or PIO,
a copy of Renunciation Certificate / Surrender Certificate and a copy of Naturalization certificate
    (both the documents) is mandatory.

Could anyone clarify me about this requirements and what should I do and how to apply PIO card for my daughter.

    thanks,
    Mangai

You do not have to send any of the certificates mentioned in 4.3 since you do not have one. Send copies of parents Indian passports and green cards and other documents mentioned on BLS website.
