OCI re issuance on a new passport for a minor.

Hi all

I am trying to apply for an OCI re issuance on a new passport for my kid. I was going through the BLS website for documents and had a few questions regarding that. I will really appreciate if someone can help me with it who have gone through the process.

1) on the website it says that " for people of Indian Origin applying for a visa or OCI, a copy of Renunciation certificate / surrender certificate and a copy of Naturalization certificate is mandatory ". The copy of cancelled indian passport of both parents is the same as renunciation certificate / surrender certificate

2) When I was filling the BLS order form, it asked for a postal method, airbill information, does it need to be with Fedex or it can be USPS also. Also what does the first airbill required field and the second required field means. I have brought USPS express priority and USPS priority mail with certified mail tracker. Have anyone used any of these.

3) When we were going through the rejection points , we saw it can be rejected due to missing proof of renunciation of indian citizenship is completed , what does this mean?

I am applying for OCI and was digging for some information and ran into your question. With regards to the mailing option, you would either need to use UPS or FedEx. I do not think they consider USPS. I may be wrong.
