Hi everyone,
Need your help with sorting out a minor matter. It's a bit urgent, hence any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
My wife's passport was issued back in 2005. Now while applying for reissue of passport, we were looking at the list of required documents to be attached, and we noticed ithat if the address is the same as in the original passport, nothing needs to be attached as proof of address. However, in our case, the address is the same but unfortunately, the PIN code of the location has been changed by the Government in the recent past.
Now we are in a fix on how to proceed. Whether we should 1) say that address has changed while filing form for reissue of passport, and submit document for proof of address with the new pin code, or 2) submit an affidavit stating that the change in PIN code is a government thing and the address is essentially the same, or 3) something else that we are not aware
. Option 2 is easy for us but we need to know that it will work.
Kindly enlighten us on the above. Thanks!
Regards,
Tushar
