After name changed in new passport do I still need to carry the cancelled old passports when I am travelling to India ? I got the name changed in USA then I got the green card so both the new passport and green card have updated names . Would it be a problem if I don't carry the cancelled old passports which had departure stamp last travelled from India when I had visit visa but now I have green card, does anybody gone thru this experience ?? Please let me knw am travelling to India after 7 years and I don't want any problems at indian airports, thank you

My wife had the same situation as you many years ago. I don't see any issue as long as your new Indian passport is valid and unexpired. The only time you need an old passport is for entry into a country where the visa is in the expired passport.Originally posted by kris09 View PostComment
