I lost my son's PIO card in the US, last used in 2011 when we travelled to India and did not realize we lost it after I booked my tickets to fly in May. Now I am unable to find his PIO card and don't have a copy either. I went to the local Police Precinct to file a police report, but they are asking for proof from Indian consulate that he indeed had one. Nobody answers the phone if I call BLS visa services and I ended up holding more than 30 mins without any representative answering. Please help. What do I do now? Should I apply for Indian visa for my son instead?? I am running out of time now.
