obtaining indian citizenship for OCI holders

i am a french passport holder and i have an OCI(overseas citizenship of INDIA) which was issued in may 2010. i have been residing in india since my birth and i have attained an age of 21 years as of may 2014. i would like to obtain indian citizenship . But as my OCI date of issual is 2010 and hence i have not completed 5 yrs as overseas citizen of india as of MAY 2014 AND me residing in india since the last 21 years... is there any chance i can apply through act 7(A) of citizenship rules?.i would also like to know if i can apply for indian citizenship through act 5(a) as i am an indian origin person and my father is an indian citizen and i have been residing in india since my birth and never resided in FRANCE or any other foriegn country.

You have to wait 5 yrs. Not sure if you can gain citizen through derivative method.
