BLS - New York / appointment on 20MAY - PLEASE HELP

I am travelling to India on 28-Jun. My son's PIO card needs to be endorsed with new passport. The old passport is lost but i have the photocopy which I have been told is acceptable.

I have an appointment for a walk in at BLS on 20-May which my father took without reading the cox takeover. What shoud I do? Should I cancel it? If I re-apply, will I get the PIO card in time for the travel?

BLS will close on 20th - so go on 19th otherwise you may have to wait until the new vendor has initial kinks resolved.
