  • Is our application lost?

    This is horrible. Why is the Indian embassy not stepping in, taking charge, and helping people out? Is this not what they are there for?

    If you go to the BLS website, it states that everything is transferred to Cox & Kings. I cannot track any applications on BLS anymore.

    If you go to Cox & Kings website, it states that BLS has not done any hand over. (Only BLS Houston has done it). I cannot track any applications on Cox & Kings website.

    Since March, BLS NY tracking previously showed application received and waiting documentation check. Now everything is gone down the drain.

    I sent an email to Cox and Kings regarding this exact issue yesterday and received a response indicating that they are working on completing the "handover" from BLS and that tracking information should be available once completed. It is an absolute disgrace that BLS does not appear to be cooperating in making the transition seamless.. They were a horrible service provider and this appears to be their final finger in our eye before they are removed from the scene. One can only wonder how long it will take to accomplish this so-called "handover". The consulate and the embassy appear to be out to lunch on this issue.

      I am in a similar situation - I tried tracking on CKGS - its asking for file # and Passport #.... not like Order # which used to be on BLS website.

      The file # and passport # on CKGS return no records found....

        BLS was terrible at customer service. I do not have an update on my OCI applied in March. I have sent my paperwork for Visa to CKGS & Fedex confirms delivery on the 21st. CKGS is not able to confirm that & I dont know where my passport & visa application is now. This is totally ridiculous & CGISFO is not responding to my emails nor picking up the phone. It is very frustrating

          If it helps, I applied for OCI dual citizenship and sent my application on May 3rd. They received it on May 5th according to tracker(no updates after that). Today, I got all my documents back untouched in my return envelope . It looks like they didn't start the process it at all.

          I'm assuming they didn't handover everyone's documents to the new provider and now, we have to apply again...

            Yes - same situation here, they received the documents on May 14th but looks like they sent it right back untouched except for the MONEY ORDER coz that is missing from my documents. Did you get your money order/cashiers cheque back with your documents?

              BLS cashed the check, but returned the application

              I just got my application returned after a month. No check inside, so they must have cashed. No explanation also. It feels like they just stole our money without providing any service. Not sure what the next step should be.

                I JUST noticed that. My money order is missing as well. I'm trying to call those crooks and see if they actually respond.

                  Is our application lost?

                  Indian company customer service at it best. We deal with all this in india when we go there. Now we have to deal with it here also. They can never change. Crooks. Trivisa was best

                    Money order missing

                    I tried to report with USPS from whom I got the MO from n they informed it will be weeks before i even know if it was cashed or refunded. Hopefully u guys have the receipt or something. BLS is not picking up n not responding to escalation. I feel like suing them for robbing us of our money.

                      I am in the same situation....just picked up my packet from FEDEX ---- Money order missing.....

                        BLS Atlanta location is notorious - they have not responded to my phone calls, emails, tickets that have been escalated.

                        At this point, I have no option but to re-apply for US passport and then OCI again.

                        I also contacted the CEO Steven Schwimmer but he has been paying lip service and the manager Ekta Soni will not take accountability.

                        Finally, I decided to seek reimbursement for lost US passport and OCI and sent them a certified mail with signature confirmation, guess what BLS refused the package and it's being returned to me.

                        The only other option is to file a claim in small claims court house. I'll be sending one later in the week and even then I may not be able to collect my money.

                        If any of you are serious at going after them in the court, I can share the details.

                            For those folks who have their money order cashed but the application was returned, here is what you can do:

                            Report the money order lost with the Post Office or the entity where you purchased it from.
                            Call this phone number [ 1-866-974-2733 ] and check to see if the money order has been cashed yet.

                            Also:

                            1. Call you local police and file a report.
                            2. Goto BBB and FTC websites and file a complaint.
                            3. Send a certified mail to your BLS location asking to be reimbursed.
                            4. File a claim in the small claims courthouse.

                            Doing all of the above still may not get you your refund but it will atleast force BLS into thinking as to the consequences of robbing people of their hard earned monies.

                              I think we need to pursue this legally. I'll discuss with my brother's friend. He's a well-established attorney that specializes in immigration law. I'll keep you all posted.
