Complaints about Visa/PIO/OCI Applications Returned Without Action

The Embassy and Consulates General have received public complaints alleging that applications sent to the previous outsourcing agency, M/s BLS Services International Ltd., were not processed despite payment. To enable us to respond to this situation, complainants are requested to send us details at <[email protected]>. The information may indicate the following:-

a) Name of applicant
b) Passport No.
c) Service applied for (Visa/OCI/PIO)
d) Application Number
e) Date of application
f) Payment details
g) Any other details.

Need help

Hi

I have come across your profile and I have few queries
My baby lost his PIO card... I heard I cant apply for duplicate PIO from India. I have to apply it from New York where the original PIO was issued, Is this right?
If no, then from where I can apply For duplicate PIO in India and how long will it take to come?

Got my refund from BLS Interational

Hello,
I got my refund from BLS International. I would recommend that you do the same thing if you want your refund back urgently instead of waiting and waiting.

Disputing shipping charges paid to BLS using credit card

Has any body disputed the credit card charges from BLS for shipping ? Please share your experience -

OCI Renewal for New passport applications for our family was retuned by BLS. Luckily for us they returned the cashiers check as well. However I had paid $60 for Fedex shipping of 4 sets of new passports, OCI Card and passports.

Since May I have sent them numerous emails with no success. Now I am thinking of disputing the charges before the deadline

Update

I have been sending emails to the NY Consul (ocipio@indiacgny) almost every 2-3 days. The consul forwarded my message to a few people in BLS ([email protected] ;[email protected]) and miraculously they responded last week. They instructed someone to cut my refund check and I have been told that my refund has been processed and a check will be issued in 4-5 days.

Apparently, BLS needs proof that BLS cashed your money order or check and the date it was cashed. If like me you had submitted a money order, go to your post office and file a tracking request to get that information.

Keeping my fingers crossed - I hope to get my refund by next week. Will update when received.

Refund check

Has any one received their refund check yet? About 10 days ago, I finally received an e-mail from BLS stating that my refund has been processed and check will be issued in a couple of days. However, i still have not received the check. i wonder, if this is another of their delaying tactics to stop us from sending the repeated e-mails (that's what I did). So if any one has indeed received the check please let us all know. Thank you.

Hi guys I got the refund from BLS back. Thanks Vishnu1, the email addresses you provided did the trick. There was a response from BLS within a hour of receiving an email from the Ministry of External Affairs.

BLS told me it will take 3-5 days to process the refund. After 3-5 days, I sent remainder email to BLS and they said that the check had gone out in the mail. I got it 2 days later. The entire time taken from the BLS email to the receipt of check was about 10 days.

I suggest that you keep emailing the BLS contact to receive status updates.

I am still waiting for my check to arrive. BLS is making up excuses. Yesterday I was told that my check is in the mail. Let us see what happens. I will update in 2-3 days.

I finally received my refund check. They have still deducted $5.00 (I don't know why, perhaps as fees for causing all this mental agony!) Now I am too exhausted to pursue it any further. Just hoping the check clears and does not bounce!

I kept my language professional and was not abusive - I know it is very difficult, but I believe that the Shankar guy is genuinely interested in getting you your refund. He might be having orders from higher-ups to add to the delay. Keep sending those emails till you get your check. Hope you get your refund soon.
