Immihelp says Tourist Visa disqualified for Indian-origin - true?

it says "the following persons are not eligible for Tourist Visa and must apply for an entry visa"

* spouse and children of person of indian origin
...

Is this correct?

I've seen forum posts saying otherwise.

Specifically, I am a naturalized US citizen from India, and my child was born in the US. Can I apply for a tourist visa for her? (we are traveling this summer, and don't have time for OCI/PIO process)

I was in the same situation but I applied for tourist visa for my kids who are citizens, as their OCI reissue process is in process . They did get their tourist visa without any issues.

So hopefully yours will also go through without any issues. We got ours in a weeks time.

I was in the same situation but I applied for tourist visa for my kids who are citizens, as their OCI reissue process is in process . They did get their tourist visa without any issues.

Hello - I was concerned about the same thing, but in my case we are Green caard holders and because of this whole BLS mess, I cant apply for PIO as I have to travel shortly. So I completed the application for TOURIST visa .
