BLS took the money and return all the documents for PIO

Hi there,

On may 7th I sent all the documents with Cashier check to BLS New York, couple of days back I received all the documents back to my home except the cashier check. I called my bank, they said BLS already took the money so there is no way to stop the check. Cox and Kings says I have to re apply for PIO with all new application and cashier check. Now BLS is no more and no way to contact them, tried calling, emailing; nothing is useful. I am helpless, I am tired of handling with these Indian services.

Any idea how i can get hold of them and get my money back from this stupid BLS.

Bls took money and returned same pio card with no endorsement ???

I applied for PIO card emdorsement as my son has a renewed US Passport . send all the forms with money order to BLS about a month back. Yesterday i got the packet with his both passports and the OLD PIO CARD. no change on the PIO card and it still says the old passport number that has expired. card validity date is stamped for many more years.

QUESTION : WHAT IS THE EXPECTED RESULT OF ENDORSEMENT OF PIO BOOKLET? WILL I GET A NEW PIO BOOKLET?
OR WILL IT CHANGE THE OLD PASSPORT NUMBER ON THE OLD BOOKLET ?

Is this a mistake by BLS ? they happily took the money order . send all the forms back with passports and pio unchanged .

what should i do ?

PLEASE HELP , I HAVE A TRAVEL NEXT MONTH TO INDIA.

On the flip side, I am happy that at least you got your docs back.
In my case ( I applied in Jan), I have nothing.

When you get a new passport, it is not mandatory to get anything done with the PIO card. But if you like, you can get the new passport number noted down on the old PIO card (which is what you attempted). You don't get new PIO card.

It is unfortunate that they took your money and didn't provide the service.

However, I suggest that you do not attempt to get it done again. Just leave it like that. Travel with both passports. That is absolutely allowed in case of PIO card. (Not allowed on OCI card for people outside the range of 21 to 50 years.)
