OCI applied to BLS in March, dispatched from India, but not recieved-what to do now

I have applied for my OCI with renunciation to BLS, Chicago in March with request to order them separately. However, they have not yet sent me my renunciation and indian passport.

In the mean time, on GoI site status, it says, OCI was dispatched on 13 MAY, but there is no date on Received at Chicago. I contacted Mr. Shetty and he mailed me back saying that it normally takes 4-5 days. The consulate may not have updated status and asked me to contact the consulate. My question is where do they send the OCI card- to consulate, Chicago or BLS or CKGS? I have mailed CKGS and consulate, but no response. Tried to call Chicago consulate- the phone number has options for OCI that still says to contact BLS, and the phone service has no option to contact or talk to a person.

I tried to call CKGS. After ~ 30 minutes of wait, the rep picked up and I gave him all info. I am not sure what he would do. It is so frustrating- no direction, no contact.

I would appreciate any help from any one in similar situations.

I wanted to understand how long it is taking for GoI to approve and dispatch the OCI. My file ack date is April 30 and the status still shows under process. Could you please let me know how long it took for your application to be processed? Appreciate your reply.

Can you let me know your OCI status? Were you able to find out and receive your OCI card? I have also applied at CHICAGO office and the current status is OCI card is dispatched from DELHI. Please share your latest update. Thanks!

Go to the consulate with your passport and printout of the status from the govt of india website, that is what we did in San Francisco, it worked!!

Exactly the same status. Started renewal of my OCI card (due to renewal of US passport) on Jan 31, 2014. Big Mistake!!! What a nightmare. BLS International has in their posession my expired US passport, the OCI card that I submitted for renewal and the Indian Goverment WebSite indicates the new OCI card has been sent from Delhi on March 20th with no arrival date in Chicago. What a Joke, maybe somebody is walking with it from Delhi to Chicago. Meanwhile I get no response from BLS International to the multiple emails I have sent them. CKGS says restart the process from scratch but not sure how to since the old OCI card and the expired US passport is with BLS International. Think I'll end up taking the print out of the Indian Government Website to the Indian Consulate in Chicago as another poster suggested. So fed up with this nonsense..
