Anyone successful in tracking application submitted at CKGS facility in person

I applied for PIO on May 23rd at New York office. I got a printout with the tracking number. I am unable to track it using the track my application link. I get an error "No Application Exist".

Is there anyone out there who is able to track using the tracking number (web reference number) provided by CKGS? CKGS is giving a lame excuse that their system is down due to applications transferred from BLS. I don't understand why the tracking functionality would be broken due to the applications transferred from BLS. My application is directly submitted to them and they have a separate area to track applications submitted to them.

Today I got a call from CKGS, requiring more documents. It seems to process my OCI they need to have my spouse's US passport copy and marriage certificate. It is not on the website, and when asked by me the cs lady explained.

Anyways I asked for my tracking no and she gave it to me which starts from USAAxxxxxx
With this no I am able to track my application.

What does the status say? Application submitted to CGI? Insufficient documentation, etc.? I submitted my PIO application but unable to track my status with the provided refence number. Thanks.

Now, my application shows as Application in process as of 05/23. When I called the customer service yesterday, I was told that the application is still with CKGS. The customer service person, a kid from India who has no clue on the process says that CKGS is doing cross checking and will take 4 weeks or 45 days. I asked him what is that they are checking. He gave some evasive answers. I don't know if I will get the passport back by end of July. We have a trip in August to India.

Now able to track the status using the tracking id alone without the passport number. I am in the same boat as the message indicates "application is in process". I do not know what this means? I am really worried as my trip to India is less than three weeks. I applied for PIO registration on 05/22.

I applied in person and was given the receipt/tracking id at CKGS application center. But unfortunately, the application does not appear to have been forwarded to the Consulate even after 10 days. I am not what is happenning with CKGS as my colleague got his PIO card in approximately 10 days (including FedEx delivery time) and he applied through BLS on May 06. This is really frustrating as my trip is less than 3 weeks away.

Horrible Experience with CKGS New York

I have submitted application today at NY application center for renouce and visa. the guy was rude and took my application and cash, he gave me a sticky note stating cash recieved and his signature. no tracking number was provided to me. any idea how many days will the processing take? and how to get the tracking number? i send email to ckgs enquiry hope they will respond. I have a trip planned to India August 1st.

Don't know what's wrong with these people. I just sent my visa application file yesterday by FedEx and they received it today. If you had this experience I don't know my application materials probably somewhere in a garbage bin. My mother in law is seriously ill and my wife is crying while my hands are tight. Don't know what to do.

Sorry to hear that. they said 4-6pm you can walk in without appointment. Just go there and explain your situation if you can go in person also email them. Unfortunately not many options as they have no proper customer care.

Spoke to an advisor (CKGS call center) earlier today. It appears that there are having some server issues which virtually halted all processing of PIO and OCI applications. He said he was going to check with the unit manager and get back the status. After about two hours, he indeed called back saying that applications were still at the CKGS application center but might be forwarded to the consulate once the the server issues in San Francisco and Houston are resolved sometime next week. Hope things move on smoothly after that (assuming that what he says is true).
On a positive note, we learned that one of our friend's got their visa today. They applied through CKGS on May 22, 2014. Even in this instance, the CKGS service center could not locate their passports for hours (they went to service center after checking a change in the status of their application that indicated that the visa has been approved).

Washington DC office- Project is completing - H1B

My son's PIO is still in ckgs office. I have applied on 05/22/14. Status says "Your application is in process." My project is coming to an End and am in H1B. We have to move out of the country once it is completed. Waiting for PIO, ckgs always says your application under process and in the office its not send to embassy yet. When i ask any particular reason, they are not providing any other info other than PIO will take 6-8 weeks, so plan your trip accordingly. I am not sure what to do once my job is gone?

Can't track mine yet.

Sent my minor child "OCI + Renunciation" application to CKGS Office in SF on 6/3, reached there on 6/5. No tracking or no acknowledgement from CKGS as of 6/11. Hoping they get it on their system. BLS seemed to do things faster than CKGS, at least for my own case. BLS acknowledged the app the same day, sent the app to consulate in 2 days and renunciation got done the next day at CGI.

Has anyone got the passport back from CKGS by courier(pre-paid envelope) sent. I have planned my trip on June 20th.. Any chance i will get it before that. Any advice? I called the call center n number of times. no use..
