I stopped my daughters PIO application to BLS just in time. Still holding off - but not enough time for PIO. So will go for visa. Didn't want to add to the back-log at CKGS. Wondering if it's ok to apply now. Is the process working now in SF?

The clog has not been cleared yet. Still, a lot of backlog and nobody knows where he/she stands in respect of his application. People still running from pillar to post.

CKGS SFO staff says, that they haven't been contacted by the embassy for many cases that were approved after June 1st. These guys no nothing. The only way is to contact embassy. We are still waiting to hear back about our passport matchup with embassy and have a pending travel in 2 weeks of time.

got 6 month tourist visa in 1 week

we had no hope, and were planning to cancel the trip and all that, but surprise! we got the 6-month tourist visa in exactly 1 week (from sending by Fedex and getting passport back by fedex).

Is your trip only for 6 months? Are you planning to take PIO in India? we are now struck in the same situation..in SFO they are saying 6 weeks and our travel time is 5 weeks from now..kind of stuck on what to do next
