Travel to India with Indian Passport validity less than 6 months

My mother will be visiting to USA this July and she will return in Jan 11 where her passport expires on June 22, which is less than 180 days. Is it ok for her to travel back to India with the 6 months less validity passport, or heard that some airlines will deny to board. Is it true? Please can anyone answer.

Airlines can not deny the boarding to Indian citizens going to India who have a valid passport. You don't need to do anything.
