Son's Indian Registration

My son was born last month - as his father is British, my son also acquired British nationality - maintains a UK passport and a local council UK birth certificate

I, the mother holds an Indian Passport

Can I get my son registered at the Indian Embassy in London to obtain an Indian Birth registration certificate?

I know in the US you can register a birth at the Indian Embassy, so I am sure you can in the UK as well. This will help the child acquire Indian citizenship if he so chooses when he turns 18
