Successfully got the PIO processed at CKGS, NY

I recently got for PIO for my daughter processed hassle free from CKGS, NY via the postal route

I sent the application via fedex on June 23 and received the PIO on July 11 - it would have been quicker had it not been the long weekend in between.


1. Made the payment online through the website - http://www.in.ckgs.us/VPOOnline/WebP...yvisafees.aspx There was an error and no confirmation but the payment did go through. I printed out the credit card transaction and put it as part of the application

2. Sent application + prepaid fedex envelope inside through fedex on June 23, reached there on June 25

3. Got a call on July 27 to clarify regarding the payment method. I told them I paid through Credit Card online.

4. A week later, called the customer care center for the status, they gave me a tracking number in this format - USAN YYYY XX. They should have sent this through email.

5. Got the PIO card on July 11

Thanks for posting your experience, probably the first NY applicant in the forums who got it back in the enclosed return envelope - Did you use your own returns label or use the one generated by "CKGS Value Added Services"? You got it back in 12 business days from the day they received it - very good given how the start of their operations has gone! Looks like they are slowly getting back on track.

Welcome! The town I live in was not present in the drop down list on the CKGS website - so I was forced to do it on my own - through fedex.com. Now that I think of it, I should have done it through USPS - could have saved a good 20 dolla
