Getting Indian Passport for US born, US passport & PIO holder child
Hi Everyone,
My daughter was born in US (both parents are Indian citizens on H1B & H4 visa). Since we had to visit India and come back to US frequently, we got US passport for my child and also PIO card from Indian consulate, NY.
Now, next year we are planning to go back to India for good and I want to get Indian passport for her before departing from US. Is it possible to surrender US passport and get an Indian passport for my daughter? If yes, then can you please help in providing the details of the process that I need to follow?
