OCI / Passport match up in person

My OCI card is now with CKGS SF and I received an e-mail asking me to send my passport for match up. My passport is in CKGS SF (or possibly the SF consulate since the status page is rather vague ) since I applied for a visa at the same time. My question is if I go to SF will I be able to do the match up in person? Do I need an appointment? My travel date is in one week (I know I have been less than diligent). Any help will be appreciated.Thanks.

If your travel is within a week, you can get an emergency match up at the consulate. Check their website.

I took my chance and went to SF for my OCI match-up. The people at CKGS could not be nicer. I dropped it off at 2PM and collected it at 4:30 PM. They couriered it to the SF consulate and got it done on the same day since my travel date was 8/24. Thanks for everyone's help.

OCI Match up

My OCI Card status showing "Received at SFO" on 10th September. My travel Date is 20th September.

Can We do an emergency match up? Do i need to go to Consulate or CKGS??
