MY children and I have US passport and OCi card. My children (unde age 20) got new US passports and I am trying to transfer their OCI to their new US passport.
Q1: I submitted an online form at https://passport.gov.in/oci/capchaCheckMisc, which asked me to send it to NewYork (w/o giving an exact address). Do I send the form to the Indian consulate general or do I send it to Cox and Kings global services http://www.ckgs.com/media-center/news.html?
Q2: The form asks for $25 in fee. Do I need to get a MO? Are there other service fees associated?
Q3: The form only asks for copy of OCI registration certificate and visa. But if they are going to issue a new visa on the new passport, they must need it? Shall I send them the new US passport as well?
Q4: What is OCI renunciation? Do I need to go through this for the old OCI booklet?
Help will be greatly appreciated. I am extremely proud to be of India origin and of all the smart Indians who live in India and abroad but is it too much to ask the Indian consulate to provide a coherent set of directions on the website?
