    Surrendering Indian Passport N applying OCI Card?

    I recently become US citizen. I have plan to visit India in one or two months.Can i able to surrender my indian passport and apply for OCI card in person ,rather than sending in mail?Is that make the process to get OCI card faster?

    If you need to travel to India in 1-2 months you should go thru renunciation and visa process. OCI process takes 3-4 months
