OCI reissue application

My OCI application was delivered and signed for on Aug 15th...to CKGS NY by Fedex


I was under the impression that the CKGS office was closed on 15th and 18th...Aug..




I have not received any acknowledgement from CKGS... Nor can I track it....

I am paranoid based on my past experience with BLS ...


Any one have any experiences with holiday delivery...

I never got the tracking number from CKGS. I had to call and get the number over the phone.

Some applicants get an email and others they have to call-in to find out.

Based on our experience, you would get an email with acknowledgement (also receipt for services) when your application has been accepted as complete. If not, you will get your application back with a note stating what is missing, etc.

I received an email stating that 'Mothers Renunciation' was missing. This was on Aug 22nd.

I scanned a copy and immediately mailed it to them.

Since Aug 22nd I have been calling them - No further updates...

How long do they take after you email them missing documents.....

Any ideas ????

It took 2 weeks for me to update the status after sending them the missing documents.

I received a receipt from CKGS NY - finally.

The WEBID and the tracking ID is the same.

There is no BARCODE either.

Looks like they haven't submitted it to the Embassy....

Waiting again....

All this for a simple REISSUE of OCI

Payment processed but email had old passport number...is this normal?

I received an email that payment was processed from CKGS. My only concern was that the email listed the information for OCI reissue (New Passport) but listed my son's old passport number. I had entered the new passport number on the online form. If you received this email earlier on, did it list your son's old passport number in their payment acknowledgement or was it the new passport number? I rechecked my application number on the passport.gov.in website and it has new passport number for sure. Maybe the email passport # does not matter??? Thoughts?

Once the application is submitted to the Embassy ....check it on the Indian govt website by entering the new passport #.

It should give you the filing details....

According to me CKGS only collects and submit s...

Data is fed at embassy...

You should be fine..
