  • OCI and visa

    I was confused about OCI.
I was researching on what OCI was and it said overseas citizen of India. It says the benefit is that you get life-long visa to India. But most of the websites also state once you get OCI card, you will need visa to go to India with the card. Kind of confused here, if the OCI card acts as life-long visa to India, do we need to get additional visa to go to India or no?
And how long can you stay in India if you have OCI card around 3 months? 6 months? 1 year? 2 years? 5 years?
and how long can you stay in India if you have a regular tourist Visa of 10 years?

OCI is composed of two pieces - a U visa which is affixed to your non-Indian passport and an OCI booklet.

With OCI, you can stay indefinite.
