Oci help simple question

Hi All,

I am going through the ckgs website putting together my application. I had a couple of quick questions I'm hoping others can answer:

1. On the CKGS application form under the payment details section- what exactly am I filling in? Am I just stating "bank check" or do I need to fill in the actual check number, bank routing #, etc.? This is a bit confusing.
2. Can I elect to just drop off my docs/passport and pick it back up in Chicago (I live in Chicago) instead of using courier services and delaying the application?
3. On the Additional particular form at the very end, it asks to pick one of two options for PIO...what do I do for that? I am only applying for OCI and it also asks location...what is the location supposed to be?

I'd appreciate any help I could get on this.

As you are living close to a CKGS location it's best to walk-in and get your answers.

This is what I did, my application went through to the consulate from CKGS without any holds or returns.

1) For payment details: I stated "Bank YYYY cashiers check number YYYY for USD $ YYYY (it was 295 for my case) issued to Cox and Kings Global Services USA LLC, dated mm/dd/yyyy"
2) Do not have an specific answer on what better/opinion on this, but is likely your personal preference based on proximity. I had read horror stories of lines etc, so despite being < 15 miles away from the CKGS office I mailed my application.
3) For this issue, I too was confused since I was not applying for PIO, but OCI, so I just struck out the word PIO and wrote over OCI and selected the option that applied, in my instance it was "Not as a spouse of an Indian origin person" event though this does not pertain to OCI. Finally I assume when you say it asks for location it the section below signature on this last page where it states "Place" and I just wrote the name of the city where I live, so it documents where the document was signed, as it the norm in these type of forms in India.

Again, not by any means the definitive way it has to be done, but sharing what I did.

I did exactly as sfbayguy suggested for your question 1 & 3 and last month I received my OCI with U Visa with no issues. Also, I mailed my application even though that adds a few days to the process.
