Anyone knows if the OCI applications are being processed in a timely manner at DC? How much did your take after the Acknowledgement Date from CKG?

My OCI and Renunciation was acknowledged by Washington Embassy on 08/06/2014 but still showing as Under Process in Govt of India website.
When I emailed to Shetty about my status he told my application is still in Washington and ask me to expedite my application.
when I called Indian Embassy in Washington nobody is picking and going only to regular voice mail.
I just emailed to Washington DC and no response.
Does anybody know how to contact Indian Embassy Washington DC? anybody know email id or Phone no I can call to expedite my application.

More than 2 months and nothing so far. One would expect better leadership from embassy than consulates but then there more days off (so many holidays and more to come soon) than working and with all social activity expected who knows what is going on. I am sure Mahatama Gandhi's Statue in DC is getting its due attention. I am not sure how non Indian related people looking to just get a visa deal with these inefficiencies.

I spoke to someone from OCI department in Indian Embassy Washington DC regarding my OCI status(Ack date 08/06/2014) he told that there is lot of application pending and lot of backlog.
My application will be sent to New Delhi OCI after 15 to 20 days.
Does anybody spoke to Indian Embassy Washington DC recently ? is it true that OCI process is being delayed due to too many OCI applications?
