PIO card to Indian Passport for minor

Hi,

I was going through the article for PIO card vs OCI card.
There i have found that a PIO card holder can get Indian citizenship after being ordinarily resident of India for 7 years.
Now my question is this eligibility only applicable for adults or for minor also same rule applies.

Suppose if I go back to India after baby borns(with PIO and USA passport) in USA,can we apply for baby's Indian Citizenship after 7 years when we be in India.

Any pointer is appreciable.

Some thread saying as the baby will remain minor in 7 years,he won't be able to apply for indian citizenship.Baby has to be adult when he can renounce usa citizenship.And then only he will get indian citizenship.

So there is no way that a minor with 7 yrs age and staying ordinarily in india will be eligible to get us citizenship.

Did you mean Indian citizenship? Then the answer is there is no way you can get an indian passport until your child attains the legal age of 18 and renounces US citizenship.
