Indian Visa stamped on expired passport.

My son is a US citizen and has 10 year Indian visa stamped on his old expired US passport (5 year validity). We have renewed his passport which is valid and not expired.

My question is that can he travel to India with his Indian visa stamped on expired passport? We plan to carry both the passports. We, the parents, are green card holders.

VISAs on expired passport are valid.
Take both passports.
