Urgent travel to India - No PIO card for infant

Hello all,

We have to leave to India this weekend on a family emergency.
My kid is 7 month old she has USA passport and birth certificate but we haven't applied for her PIO card yet.

Please advise what are our options:
1. Can we still go to India and come back fine
2. Can we apply in India.
3. Any other option I am missing

US citizens can't go to India just like that.

Your best option at this point is to apply for visa on arrival. Read /india-e-visa/
