Passports for match up must be sent to CKGS only: OCI

As per the Notice Regarding Passport Match-up:

Notice regarding OCI cards match-up procedure
In the case of all OCI applications, the applicants are notified by email about the arrival of the printed OCI Registration Cards and "U" Visas from New Delhi and are requested to send their current passports for match-up. It has been noticed that many applicants have not been monitoring or receiving the email notifications at the email addresses mentioned in their applications and this has led to delays in their dispatch of passports for match-up.

To make sure you receive our alerts / updates, add [email protected] to your white list / Approved / Safe Sender list.

Henceforth, all OCI applicants are requested to monitor the status of their OCI applications online at:

https://www.passport.gov.in/oci/statusEnqury

Passports for match up must be sent to CKGS only.

My Query wrt passport:
While applying for OCI initially we only send across copies of passport, only once when we get the notification updates from [email protected] at that point do we need to send across the original passport?
Also how do we provide more information to ckgs that the passport's are send for match-up process.
Has any one send some kind of reference, sample letter to link to the original application.

You will get mail from ckgs is my printed card is ready and send the "passport for match up".
This mail contains the instructions.

You need to send once you get mail
- match up form
- fedex...
other documents specified in the mail

So there is match up form for them to know this one came for matchup

how long does it take for ny ckgs to send the email once NY CGI receives the document
