I am in Canada a PR, my passport is going to expire and was checking the forms.
One place they tell you to complete all details as per old passport and other place they tell no initials allowed.
Name of father in my existing passport is his first name with two initials.
So, how to expand his initials, basically the first initial is his father's name and the second initial is the surname same as mine
(My name on passport is fine as I have all three fields(Given names first+middle, Last name completed in existing passport).
What would be the procedure, I will be submitting to BLS in Toronto. I have my father's cancelled Indian passport with me/him where his three names are spelt out showing the would be expansion of initials of my passport).
Would Notarizing the page of his previous Indian Passport be sufficient, for the purpose of my renewal passport with expanded initials of his name.
Please advice as I want to avoid going back & forth to BLS or CGI for the passport renewal.
