Currently outside India

Hi,
I am from India and would like to apply for an H1 Visa appointment in a US consulate.

Though currently i am working on an onsite assignment in Germany, i am employed with a bangalore based firm and am an Indian citizen.

Is it possible to get an apointment in any of the US consulate close to where i stay(Germany) currently, or do i need to go back to India for this purpose?

If you are working in Germany, you can go to US consulate in Germany.
