Hi,
I am in the US on an L2 Visa and my passport expires in June 2015. I want to renew my passport in Chicago, but have queries in general and on documentation requirements.
1. Can I apply for passport through Mail? Or I have to visit the BLS office in Chicago in person?
2. The checklist mentions "Notarized Photocopy of a residential proof of the applicant". I don't have a residential proof since I am a dependent and don't have any such thing on my name. Can I submit my husband's State ID as a residential proof? My passport has my husband's name printed on it. Is there any other document which I can provide in place of this?
3. In case of a Rental lease agreement, I live in a hotel right now, can I submit the hotel bill in place of that?
