  • OCI photo question. recent applicants please help

What sort of photo background did you use on part A of application? did you provide additional photo?
Confusing statement on oci application instructions that printed after online registration that says (not white) and ckgs checklist says strictly against white background.
    please help

    1. The Indian Passport Office instructions state the background should be plain and light colored. We went to Costco to get them.
    2. The instructions state one passport photo per applicant. We provided a second on a copy of the application, as required by Atlanta. So it really depends which office is processing your application.

OCI application requires white background in photos. if the photo has a off-white shade even after taking with white background, you can edit the photo at the printing kiosk and make it white making sure it does not look unnatural. I had photos with light beige background, as I originally prepared them for PIO applications, and had to redo them to meet OCI requirements.

Just went to Costco and got them. I believe the background was light colored. We sent two photos as we had to send two copies of the applications, so one photo for each Part A.
