Travel on passport with different last name

I booked my flight using the name on the green card that I received after marriage. I hold an Indian passport that has a different last name (maiden name). What could be the possible hurdles at immigration/emigration?

Can I still travel using the passport that has my maiden name?

My maiden name: first last
After marriage: first last new

You should check with airlines if they will let you board the plane. Usually itenary should match with passport as that is what is used for security checks. Green card is only checked while coming back into the country at port of entry in USA and India before boarding the plane. Showing marriage certificate might help resolve the issue.
