  • Son travelling to India using PIO card

    Hi,

My son has used PIO card twice while he traveled to India in the last 6 years. He has a valid US passport.
I am hearing a lot of news about OCI card these days.
On the CGI website it does not state that its mandatory to have OCI card in case you have PIO however it just says that its better to get it replaced.
It also mentions that PIO card is valid as long as you have valid passport and if the PIO card is issued before Jan 2013.

I just wanted to check that if any of you have faced any questioning at the port of entry in India related to PIO card vs OCI card

    Please advice

    Thanks
    Indy
