OCI help

hi,

I am applying for OCI for my 1 year old kid. I m on H1b and wife on H4 and are in process of extending H1b and H4 in next 2 months.(already applied for H1b extension)
During the application process for OCI, realized the VISA for parents shld be valid for atleast 3 months (I only have 2 months valid on my VISA and applied for extension)
I guess, I hit dead end since I plan to travel after 4 months (already booked tickets) and I have to take tourist VISA for my kid .

Anyone have any suggestions ?
