PIO to OCI questions ?

I recently updated my PIO with my new Passport number in India.

I was given a list of documents to upgrade to OCI .September 30th
deadline was confirmed.My questions are.

1.The documents on the list were PIO,Passports,Address Proof
and a completed form online.Do I need to send a copy of
Fathers Indian Passport also ? It was not asked on the list.

2.What is the duration to upgrade to an OCI in India , for
PIO holders.Anyone applied for OCI in India ?

Where did you get the documents checklist to convert PIO to OCI? At FRRO Delhi? Is India Driver License considered address proof?

Normally OCI processing takes 8 to 12 weeks.

I am not sure about drivers license.
I sent two Telephone bills and a recent/previous residential permit.

I keep wondering if I needed to send all documents which I sent to get my PIO.
In the list given to me at FRRO Bangalore , parents passport required for Minor.

If one goes to the nearest FRRO with a PIO this is what they will suggest,
and yes there is a 30th september 2015 deadline to apply,Hurry up!!

I don't know from where you got the list. Go to the Ministry of Home Affairs (of India) website and to the section on OCI within - there are a Brochure and an FAQ. There it says that in the case of conversion of PIO to OCI the only documents to be submitted are copy of the valid passport and copy of the valid PIO card. In the brochure see all of paragraph 3 and in the FAQ question 8 (same stuff). They are also replicated in the site further linked to: https://passport.gov.in/oci/.
