US Citizen kid stay in India

Hello All,
My US Citizen kid (now 18 months) with PIO card has been staying in India from Feb 27th.

1. Is there a limit as to how long he can stay during a single visit?
2. If yes, is it 6 months?
3. Can we go to another country for 1-2 days and return to India for the stay period to "reset"?

There is no max stay/re-registration requirements for minors with PIO.
