Adding spouse's name while reissuing passport

Hi,

My Indian passport expires in December and I am in the process of reissuing it from the US. I was wondering if I want to reissue my passport and also add my spouse's name to it, do I need to pay the processing fee of $91.20 only once or do I need to pay it twice -- once for the reissue and once again for adding spouse's name?

Nope that's wrong. You pay only once and include your wife's details, copy of marriage certificate and her passport copy. They will send you the reissued passport with the spouse name included.

Adding Spouse Name on My Passport

Hi,

This is Vinay from Andhra Pradesh, I have a query regarding the above subjected post that, I shall be getting register marriage done in the month of 5th December'2015. Now, my query is that what is the procedure of adding my spouse's name in my passport and what are all the documents required in order to do so and how many day's time will it take to complete this process? as i'm working in "Bahrain" I shall be bringing her here after the dependent visa arrives. As she doesn't have any passport she will be applying in India after we get the "Marriage Certificate" and I hope so that automatically my name shall be included in her new passport once the new passport is applied for her along with the marriage certificate.

Also,can anyone please clarify that will I have to apply only India in order to add her name into my passport or can I get it done here in Bahrain? If so what is the procedure?

While submitting my passport renewal, I included my wife's name... along with marriage certificate and other docs.. NO need to pay twice..
