Minor Passport in India when parent is in abroad

Hi,

I am Afaq, Indian national and now on visit visa in UAE searching for a job. My wife and son is in India and i want to bring them here but unfortunately only my wife has a passport with my name added, whereas my son doesn't has a passport and I came to know that I need to send an affidavit for making his passport as am not there in India and when I checked with Indian embassy here in UAE, they told me that an affidavit can be issued only to those who are permanent residents and working here and not to those who are on visit visa like me. I request and will be grateful, if some one can help me by advising any alternate solution.

Indian embassy at UAE gave you correct advice. you can apply for your son passport only when you return to India.
