NOC from Spouse in USA for Spouse Passport renewal in India
Hi Friends,
I am on H1B and my wife on h4. She recently went to India and trying to renew her passport before she travel to USA. Her passport will be expiring in 6 months from now. The passport officials asked for Spouse's (My) Original passport as part of supporting documents. Obviously which she doesn't have with her and in which case they asked to provide a NOC from me. When asked back what is the procedure for it and where can we get the format, they(the passport office personnel) did not give clear information (I assume because they are not fully aware of the process). I have been googling about the format of the NOC and procedure. I could find something related to Minor child's passport but nothing related to NOC for Spouse's passport renewal in India. Could you please provide me some info as to:
1. Where I can find this NOC form (any direct link would be appreciated)
2. What is the procedure (ex: Like getting it notarized from a local notary and/or getting it attested by a consulate officer here in USA. I live in Florida, USA.)
