Minor passport renewal

Hi

I came on H1 in early 2014 along with my daughter on h4. My wife suppose to join me after month but she never and we are heading for divorce. Process yet to start. My daughter passport has expired two months back. I did apply for her renewal as single parent but it was rejected by indian consulate as they need divorce letter and custody letter. My daughter is special child and thats the reason she never came here.

Now what should i do. How i can apply as single parent for my daughter passport renewal? If it is not possible then what document i should ask my wife to give for passport renewal. I am not sure she will give as she has stopped all communication but i will try if that is the only option. Or i will just go india and try passport renewal there. I am total lost what to do.

Indian consulate is correct. you need divorce letter and custody letter. Who has custody for your daughter?

I am able to get in touch with my wife and she agreed to provide documents. Now i will re-submit application. What documents wife need to send from india so that i can apply passport renewal for my daughter from usa. Please help. Thanks
