Eligibility of OCI Card

Hi all,
Greetings of the day!

I would like to clarify the eligibility of OCI card

I am an Indian married to a Vietnamese in 2013 and staying in Vietnam.

We have a 7 months old baby. We would like to relocate to India for our child's education and future.

Please help us to clarify:

1. Are they (my wife and child - both Vietnamese Nationals) eligible to get some kind of long term Residence permit or Visa?

2. Are they eligible to apply for OCI card?

Instead of applying for any long term visa, just apply for an OCI card for your Vietnamese wife and son. According to current rules, spouse and minor children of foreign origin of a citizen of India are eligible for an OCI card as long as the spouse and children are not of Pakistani or Bangladeshi origin.

According to the fact that, any foreign spouse wants to apply OCI base on Indian spouse are taking forever because it will go to ministry's decision. that mean your wife technically eligible but expect for very long long waiting, your child is eligible for OCI and should have no issue.
