  • OCI Vs E-Visa

My Wife is travelling to India along with my US born daughter on 4th April from Houston. I checked with CKGS and it seems that its going to take 45-60 working days (approx 3 months) for the OCI.

    Now I have 2 questions:

    1. Is it recommended to go for the e-visa instead of OCI in this specific scenario ?
    2. Can I apply for OCI and in the meanwhile apply for e-visa as well and then travel on which ever gets approved first ?

    Regards,
    Raman.

I applied for tourist visa(10 yrs) in may 2015 at the SF consulate. I got my passport back under 14 days and it costed me like 120$ for visa...+shipping/handing fees.
