OCI needs parents passport submission from Jan 25 2016

This is insane, the officials are telling the parents to take emergency visa if they have any plans to go to foreign countries, as the OCI process blocks the parents passport for 2 months. I'm not sure which genius in visa processing as put this rule.

The reps in CKGS doesn't understand fully on how the business people will get affected by this kind of rules. We had to submit all 3 passports, in return they dont even give a receipt as proof. Also there might be chance that they will not honor your documents and payment if made before Jan 25 as everything got changed lately. Call the CKGS reps before starting.

I think we need to suggest to MODI to remove OCI cards also.. Just print the access grant in foreign passport only. No need to carrying another card. Whenever passport changes/renews, etither carry old passport and new OR get VISA granted on new passport.

Where it says 'parents passport to be sent"?. isnt this just kids passport to be sent along with application?.

if you are in San Francisco jurisdiction disregard the new changes, meaning of don't send original current passport and notarize every single page. all requirements are remain from old requirements

How did you find out San Francisco jurisdiction has the old rules ? Just wanted to be sure before I proceed with the application process.

Seems that the original will be returned to within a few days after verification. But you will have to send the US passport again at OCI Matchup.
