OCI Process change starting 1/25

if you are in San Francisco jurisdiction disregard the new changes, meaning of don't send original current passport and notarize every single page. all requirements are remain from old requirements

How are you able to confirm it?.I'm waiting to apply as well.

Please note, OCI process has changed that is effective January 25.

Important and unfortunate change, the original US passport has to be sent right away. In the previous
process you would do that only during the matchup phase.

this changes are not apply to San Francisco please acknowledge it.

Seems that the original will be returned to within a few days after verification. But you will have to send the US passport again at OCI Matchup.

if you are San Francisco jurisdiction please do not send original documents and physical passport for verification. it exceptional for San Francisco jurisdiction

sorry, i'm not able to find your post. I'm apply at NY CGI. Do we need to send all originals (including passport and other support documents in originals)

I am afraid so. If you look at the document list published by CKGS, only SF jurisdiction has no need for originals.

According to the CKGS website all these originals will be returned after verification. The passports have to sent again later at the OCI matchup phase.
