  • Photo&sign rejected due to poor quality

We got this message from the passport.gov.in website when we logged in to check the status of our application.

Photo&sign rejected due to poor quality, fresh photo&sign required.

The signature was a thumb print from our baby in this case, I'm guessing it's something to do with that.

What do we do now? How do we know what was wrong in order to correct it?

And how would we submit new thumb print or photo to them? We travelled to the VFS office in Battleship Building in London last time to submit it in person. I really wouldn't want to have to repeat that experience.

Thanks for any help or advice you can give.

    Albert,

I don't know from your message whether you are dealing with U.S. immigration requirements or those of some other country. "VFS" doesn't strike any chord for someone trying to respond from the U.S. Most messages on this forum deal with U.S. immigration issues.

But a child's thumbprint on a U.S. immigration-related document means nothing to our government agencies. A parent should sign for an infant and put his parental relationship in parenthesis after the parent's signature.

Are you referring to the OCI application?

just redo the thumb impression by reupload or physical thumb impression.
